  18. When I try to run kermit 3.14 under DOS MERGE, there is no screen
  19. response even if I start kermit with a null initialization file.

  21. I am starting dos with the command dos +adcom1 to give kermit
  22. hardware access to the com port.

  24. Why, you might ask, am I trying to run MS Kermit under DOS under
  25. UNIX when there is a perfectly good C-Kermit for SCO UNIX?  The
  26. answer is that MS-Kermit has better support for Japanese, and my
  27. version of SCO UNIX supports DOS/V and Windows 3.1J under UNIX.
